Hello everyone, I sold my car around July 2024. The sale and purchase papers were notarized, and I completed the paperwork to surrender the license plate and transfer ownership so the new owner could get a new plate right away. But now when I went to register a new vehicle, I was not allowed to because of an outstanding traffic camera fine from May 2024.
The problem is that if there had been an outstanding traffic camera violation, the traffic authorities should not have allowed me to sell the car. At the time of the sale, all sides checked everything and there were no violations, so the sale went through. But now I can’t even pay the fine because I no longer have the old car’s documents, and I already sold the car, so where am I supposed to get the old paperwork to bring in and pay it for them? (things like the registration card, inspection certificate, and insurance)
I want to pay the fine, but the procedure is way too complicated. If anyone knows how this works, please help.
