- A few months after its global debut, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam has officially launched the Destinator in the domestic market. The SUV has a true 7-seat, three-row configuration and is imported from Indonesia.

- The Destinator's exterior uses Mitsubishi's signature Dynamic Shield design language. The grille is multi-layered with a honeycomb pattern, positioned beneath a transparent acrylic layer. The rear adopts the Hexaguard Horizon concept, with a hexagonal pattern inspired by the spare tire of the legendary Pajero models. The taillights are T-shaped LEDs.

- The vehicle has a true 7-seat configuration, not a 5+2 layout, with the Destinator measuring 4,680 x 1,840 x 1,780 mm in length, width and height. The wheelbase is 2,815 mm. Turning radius is 5.4 m. Its overall lines are distinctly SUV-like, with 214 mm of ground clearance, among the highest in the segment, and 18-inch wheels.

- The Destinator is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged MIVEC engine. Output is 161 hp and maximum torque is 250 Nm. Transmission is a CVT. The vehicle comes with five drive modes: Normal, Wet, Mud, Gravel and Tarmac. Of these, Tarmac mode is being offered by Mitsubishi for the first time.

- Before the launch event, many Mitsubishi dealers had opened orders for the model, with incentives of up to about VND 33 million, not convertible to cash. The first Destinator units are expected to reach Vietnamese customers from Dec. 1.
