2026 Honda CR-V launched in Southeast Asia
The C-segment crossover gets design tweaks, drops the pure internal-combustion version and is now hybrid-only, with upgraded safety technology.
Japanese automaker Honda launched the 2026 CR-V for the Thai market, the first in Southeast Asia. The 2026 CR-V is a mid-cycle update. In the new version, the vehicle is offered with only one hybrid powertrain option, with the gasoline engine discontinued.
The 2026 CR-V comes in five variants: E 2WD priced at USD 43,700, ES 2WD at USD 48,400, HuNT 2WD at USD 50,000, RS 2WD at USD 52,800, and RS AWD at USD 54,000.

The new HuNT 2WD has the same specifications as the ES 2WD, but adds roof rails, bronze highlights on the grille and fog-light surrounds, front bumper garnish, side steps and wheel-arch cladding.
The interior has a five-seat layout. A notable upgrade on the 2026 CR-V is the blind spot information system (BSI), replacing the previous LaneWatch camera, along with a rear cross-traffic warning feature.
BSI comes together with Google built-in displayed on the 9-inch touchscreen, allowing access to services such as Maps, Play and Assistant, and supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. There is also a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, and the Honda Connect system with a digital key.
The Honda Sensing suite is standard on the 2026 CR-V in Thailand, with features such as automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, and lead car departure notification. Only the RS AWD variant additionally gets adaptive headlights.
All five variants use a 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 146 hp and 183 Nm of torque, paired with one electric motor that generates electricity for the lithium-ion battery and powers another electric motor that drives the wheels, producing 181 hp and 335 Nm of torque. Combined output is 204 hp.
At higher speeds, the gasoline engine drives the wheels directly through an E-CVT transmission. The vehicle has three drive modes: Normal, Sport and Econ. Front-wheel drive is used on the lower four variants, while the top version has all-wheel drive.
According to plan, the 2026 Honda CR-V will go on sale in Thailand in the final month of 2025. The CR-V competes with rivals such as Mazda CX-5, Ford Territory, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage.
