Toyota’s three best-selling models get early-year discounts
Vios, Yaris Cross and Veloz are being discounted through promotions covering 50-100% of registration fees, equivalent to VND 23-66 million.
At the start of 2026, Toyota and its dealer network continue to maintain major promotions for many products. This comes just after the New Year holiday, when buying demand begins to rise until near Lunar New Year (mid-February).
The 7-seat MPV Veloz leads the discounts, with reductions of about VND 64-66 million thanks to a 100% registration fee incentive. Its twin model, positioned lower in the lineup, the Avanza, is also receiving a similar incentive, with dealer prices down by around VND 56-60 million.

In the small MPV segment, the main rival to Toyota’s pair is the Mitsubishi Xpander, which is also being offered with registration fee promotions. Dealers are selling the Xpander with discounts of around VND 56-70 million.
Two other Toyota models, the Yaris Cross and Vios, are both receiving a 50% registration fee promotion. Dealer prices for the Vios are down by around VND 23-27 million, depending on the version, while the Yaris Cross is down by VND 33-38 million.
Vios, Yaris Cross and Veloz were among Toyota’s best-selling models in Vietnam in 2025. This is the first time in decades that the Japanese brand’s top-selling model was not the Vios.
In 2025, the Yaris Cross sold 14,601 units, leading Toyota’s sales. The Vios ranked second with 13,424 units. The shift in consumer buying preferences stems from the trend toward high-riding vehicles, dynamic design, spacious interiors and more technology. The price gap between the two B-segment models, which differ in size and segment, is VND 100 million.
Toyota’s sales in 2025 reached 71,954 vehicles, up 8% from 2024, ranking second in the market behind VinFast. Its hybrid vehicle business reached 8,474 units, up 58%.
